Recognitions

This website is to give the leaders information on meetings and events planned in our association.

 Recognitions

Association 70 is a strong believer in recognizing our volunteers.

We should thank all of our volunteers in an appropiate manner.  We have a Recognitions person who coordinates the service unit's recognitions volunteer with the council team.

If you have questions about recognitions, please contact Saundra at recognitions@gscnc-assn70.org.

The GSCNC website has valuabe information on recognitions.  To get to it, click here!

Please refer to the sections below for specifics about special recognitions our association focuses on.

Outstanding Volunteer

The Outstanding Volunteer Award was instituted in 1987 by GSUSA. It is awarded to an adult in a position other than leader, or in addition to leader, whose outstanding service benefits the troop, service unit or association. The service is beyond the expectations of the position(s) such that it warrants local area recognition

The GSCNC website has information and the form available.

Volunteer Achievement Awards

This award, created by GSUSA, has been around for a while. We are excited to be adopting it here in the Nation’s Capital, and we are encouraging it in Association 70.

Similar to the Leadership Development Pin, this self-nominated award recognizes adult volunteers for the areas we have contributed and encourages us to expand to new areas as well.

Information on criteria and forms are available on the website.
